Spent 16 hours on the road (yesterday) to get to Santa Cruz in a day. Even my morning pranayama and mantras were done in the chilly car before dawn. Spent the trip fasting on lemon water.
Dave stopped in Ashland to take a break and check his snow chains. That was a good call as they were broken and needed to be replaced. We ended up putting them on just out of town. Shimshai was playing in Ashland that day but there are no co-ops to stay for free there so we continued on as it was a pretty expensive show to begin with.
It was wonderful to spend Thanksgiving in Portland with my sister and family. Especially enjoyed time with my nephew, Hansel.

ReplyDeleteThat snowy mountain road does not look too inviting. It must be even colder than where I am and it has been bitter cold with icy wind blowing off Lake Erie!
Be very careful in the snow, hope you are back where the weather is better...
