It figures... take a starlyn to the beach and she'll end up in the trees.
We were pleasantly surprised by their variety of fruits (though the prices are not nearly as good as at the Sunday market in Hilo. Although there is one thing you have to look out for here with fruit - and that is the quality of fruit. Much of what we bought today was not nearly as good as we hoped for... but at least it was a good experience to try it out. My favorites were the lilikoi, front center - followed by the longans (though the quality of these at LeeLee's in Chandler is actually more favorable to me).
Rock sculptures are everywhere... these ones I did near the rock sign.
The wall that the Hookena rock-sign stands on is held together with concrete, however the sign with a background of white rock and letters of lava rock stand entirely of design with no bonding material. I especially enjoy the greyish shading at the top. Very clever!
Hi Starlyn,
ReplyDeleteYes you definitely love to climb trees as I well know!
What a beautiful setting you have found for your pictures near the beach and I love the fruit you found too. Yum, I want some!
Loving you,
Brian
